We are going outside to take church to the community

Jesus said: “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18 – 20)

No amplifiers – no microphones – no video cameras. Just some acoustic instruments, our lives and our voices, God’s Word and the Power and Presence of Jesus.

We have been gathering in Mallanbool Park Murrumbeena to worship, fellowship, pray and declare God’s sovereignty over the land, His will done on earth as it is in heaven. Neighbours and friends have been invited and they have joined in, passers-by were also invited and some have got involved – all have heard the truth of the Gospel and strongholds have been broken down over the community and over people’s lives.

Jesus said: “Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.” (Luke 10:18 – 20)

What to bring: A chair or picnic rug, food and drink if you like, a word of Scripture or Testimony if you like (brief).

They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46 – 47)
