It will be so great for many of us to meet together face to face this Sunday. Not everyone will be able to, and not everyone will feel comfortable gathering, and that is fine and we will have the service and Communion online so that everyone can be a part of church this week.
This week is a Family Service so everyone would normally be together. I propose 4 services throughout the day, and I need you to reply to me and let me know which is your preference. They will all be outdoors, but at this stage it looks like a fine 21 degree day. Each service will begin 15 minutes earlier than usual with a time of praise. Then we will begin the worship time which will be pre-recorded and shown on TV. When it comes to the message time, it will be recorded and posted online, but will be preached live each service.
Communion – I propose that we host that live at 11:45 (people who attend the 10:15 service bring their own elements of bread and drink) – all others will join us online via zoom.
I propose the following time slots:
- 10:15 (preservice worship) for 10:30 start – Communion @ 11:45
- 1:45 (Preservice worship) for a 2 pm start
- 3:45 (Preservice worship) for a 4 pm start
- 5:45 (Preservice worship) for a 6 pm start
If we need a 5th service we will either do a sunset service or a dawn service… should be fun, but I would like everyone to be able to attend.
We will ensure a Covid safe environment, social distancing and masks are all required.
The help I need:
- Setting up the shelter, chairs and equipment before the first service
- People to help with registration and cleaning before & after each service
- Musicians (simple, guitar or piano) to play a few simple choruses for the preservice worship
There is still some work to do on the garden outside, so any help before Sunday would be fantastic, just come when you are able and we are mainly looking to pull out weeds from the front garden and around the playground area.
Please let me know your preferences and the number of people attending – all family and friends are welcome – only include the times you are available [Example: 10:15 & 3:45] I will then know your preference is 10:15, but you are also available at 3:45 but not 1:45 & 5:45.
